Conference speaking engagements
Velda is also available for speaking engagements at your
conference events.
Workshops
The workshops are six hours in length and cover the basics of
money management. Workshops are structured to accommodate a
maximum of twenty participants and offer hands-on learning to
develop and sustain new money management skills.
There are four modules in the Curricula as described below and
each module is covered in various intervals. The workshops include
activities designed to promote audience participation, challenge,
inspire and motivate participants to take immediate financial
control.

first sight and is a step-by-step guide that walks participants
through each of the modules described below:

The Spending
Journal®
The
Spending
Journal® is a tool that helps participants track
their expenses on a daily basis with space for journaling emotions
or feelings about their spending patterns for a particular day.
This powerful tool helps participants take action immediately when
taking control of their spending.
3. The CD
The CD has the following spreadsheets and forms to help make
expense tracking easier:
• Spending Plan Worksheet
• Annual Income/Expense Worksheet
• Debt-to-Income Ratio Worksheet
• SMART Goals Worksheet
• Debt Elimination Pledge Sheet
• And More!
4. Two Receipt File Containers
The Monthly Receipt File Container is uniquely designed to
collect and organize receipts on a monthly basis. The container is
separated into sections and is tabbed according to spending
categories. The Annual Receipt File Container stores and
organizes enveloped receipts for the entire year.
5. Pre-Printed Envelopes
Pre-printed envelopes make storing receipts easier with each
envelope printed according to month and expense category.
6. Calendar
A calendar with a marker will help participants to track when
their monthly bills are due and when these bills are paid. This
practice will help promote discipline to pay bills timely and
avoid future late fees and penalties that would otherwise
negatively impact your credit score.
